Books are super unflexible. You write and publish one, and it’s permanent. So if you change your views on the book later, you cannot go back and edit it, and you are now stuck around your readers voraciously referencing your past work and claiming that you are still your old self.
What if there was a way to push updates to books in a transparent manner? What if there was a way for you to take back all you’ve said in your book and people can compare and contrast exactly what parts of the book you have edited? They will purchase the entire book, and see the evolution it underwent.
A book purchase will be like buying a github repository, and going through the books “evolutions” will be like checking out the older repo commits. This gives the author freedom to come back to his books and be more verbose on unclear things or take back things he doesn’t agree on anymore, etc etc.
This needs to be tokenized and shown on the blockchain for full transparency. Honestly, this app could be a cornerstone feature of Xandria, rather than a standalone app. It is time we moved away from paper books which are uneditable once it is in the hands of the user to taking full leverage of the digital distribution.
